SESA Dinner in the Scottish Parliament
The Scottish Parliament was the venue for a Scottish ESA (SESA) dinner discussion with key opposition Labour MSPs. These were Shadow Environment Spokesman David Stewart MSP, James Kelly MSP and Hugh Kelly MSP. Leading for SESA and ESA were ESA Chairman Richard Skehens, SESA Executive Committee Chairman Colin Paterson, and ESA Chief Executive Dirk Hazell.
Amongst the policy themes covered by the discussion were issues relating to the future direction of waste management policy, funding, the drafting of Scotland’s National Planning Framework, the Landfill Allowance Scheme, the Scottish Futures Trust and the impact of the EU Waste Framework Directive.
