Global Compact

ESA supports the United Nations Global Compact. In March 2001, ESA was pleased to be the UK’s first trade association to sign up to the United Nations Global Compact Principles. ESA remains committed to supporting these ten Principles within the areas of human rights, labour, environmental standards and anti-corruption.

In addition to endorsement of protection of human rights, and decent and non-discriminatory employment standards, the 10 Principles of the Global Compact include three environmental standards: to adopt a safe approach to environmental challenges, to undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility and to encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

The UK Network of the UN Global Compact is a UK focal point for signatories of this voluntary corporate citizenship initiative.
