HSE Health and Safety Strategy

ESA attended the launch of the Health and Safety Executive’s Health and Safety Strategy.

The strategy responded to the reduced rate of improvement in the UK’s health and safety performance since 2003. The strategy, which is subject to a three month consultation process to which ESA will respond, aims to:

reduce the number of work related injuries and cases of ill health;

gain widespread commitment and recognition of what real health and safety is about;

motivate all those in the health and safety system as to how they can contribute to improved health and safety performance;

and

ensure that those who fail in their health and safety duties are held to account.
