The Scottish Resources Conference is Scotland’s largest and most important event for sustainability, resource and waste management professionals. The two-day event, run in partnership with CIWM, Zero Waste Scotland and SEPA, sees professionals from private, public and third sector organisations come together to discuss the challenges, issues, innovations and solutions to creating a waste free Scotland.
This year the event will take place on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 October - a week earlier than in recent years but still in the autumn slot that has become a traditional fixture in the diaries of local authority waste and recycling officers.
The event will also have a new home in 2019 – the Hilton Metropole Birmingham NEC – with its large purpose-built conference facility.
Digital solutions are coming to the waste industry, driven by the need for greater accountability and improved resource management.
Smart Waste, Smart Resources provides an essential opportunity to examine how these developments will affect your business and gives you the tools to prepare for the future.
Discuss government and industry ideas for digitalisation across waste tracking; explore the benefits of more transparent and linked systems; examine the rapidly approaching solutions of AI, Internet of Things, traceable waste and understand what “the cloud” really means.
Aimed at organisations at starter level digitalisation up to advanced systems, with practical sessions and plenty of discussion opportunities, this is your opportunity to explore how your company can prepare for, and benefit from, next generation digital technology.
