ESA/Environment Agency Secondment Scheme 2005
ESA and the Environment Agency have been progressing the secondment programme, supported by ESA Members, for the last four years. The scheme has proven to be an excellent opportunity for EA personnel who inspect waste management facilities to gain hands-on experience and understanding of managing a licensed site on a daily basis and is repeated annually.
Specific requirements for sites are: A landfill site receiving more than 150,000 tonnes of municipal, commercial and industrial waste per year with the ability to take the secondee to other operations within the area of the landfill site. We are also looking to bring into the scheme other waste management facilities such as treatment plants, MRFs, etc.
