ESA sets out priorities for waste policy

In a key-note speech Mr Hazell highlighted the need for Government to focus on achieving the landfill directive’s targets for diverting biodegradable municipal waste, and highlighted the need for proper funding for local authorities to carry out this task and planning systems that enables the development of new infrastructure to recycle, recover and treat wastes. ESA has since reiterated these messages in a presentation at a regional conference in Bradford.
