Improving Health & Safety in the Waste Management Sector Wednesday 31 January 2007 Pinsent Masons, 5th Floor, 123 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, G2 5EA
The drive to increase recycling and recovery of materials has resulted in the widespread introduction of new waste management practices. This changing working environment poses a significant challenge as companies and local authorities work towards improving health and safety performance.
SESA is holding a one-day seminar on Wednesday 31 January 2007 at Pinsent Masons in Glasgow to examine how the health and safety performance of the sector can be improved in practice.
The seminar will include practical advice from the HSE, ESA Members and other sectors on major issues, including collection of municipal and commercial waste, workplace transport, reversing operations, machinery safety and lock-off procedures.
The seminar will be chaired by SESA’s Chairman Mr Colin Paterson and a programme is attached.
