Scotland's Opportunity to become a recycling Society
24.01.2008
Hours before the Scottish Government outlines its future work programme for waste in a Ministerial Statement, the Scottish Environmental Services Association (SESA) is providing a seminar for SNP Members of the Scottish Parliament.
Commenting, ESA Chief Executive Dirk Hazell said: “This seminar is SESA's first within the Scottish Parliament.
“It is timely in the light of the Ministerial Statement a few hours later announcing Scotland's future programme of work on waste.
“Scotland has a massive opportunity to turn from being a disposal to a recycling society. This will need both the commitment shown for example by Bavaria, Scotland's European twin, and also strong partnership with SESA's Members to bring state of the art recycling infrastructure and next generation environmental jobs to Scotland.”
